À N’Djamena, le personnel médical des grands hôpitaux en formation pour « améliorer les services des urgences »

Le corps médical tchadien des grands hôpitaux publics poursuit une formation ce vendredi 11 octobre dans la capitale N’Djamena.

Ouverte hier, jeudi 10 octobre, à l’Hôpital de la Renaissance, ladite formation est, en effet, la 2e phase d’une plus large campagne de formation du personnel médical et paramédical des services des urgences des grands hôpitaux de N’Djamena.
Objectif, selon le gouvernement, « améliorer les performances des services d’urgences », plus particulièrement les services d’accueil desdits centres hospitaliers, précise la source gouvernementale.

Améliorer graduellement la santé publique

Pays fragilisé par une instabilité politique récurrente et des décennies de conflits sanglants, le Tchad dispose peu d’infrastructures sanitaires de par son vaste territoire sous-développé. 
Autre défi à relever, le gouvernement est contraint d’investir davantage dans la formation du personnel, notamment à travers des bourses d’études pour le Cuba, ou ériger des centres hospitaliers co-financés par la Chine ; deux partenaires importants pour le gouvernement tchadien dans sa mission de rendre plus efficace son appareil sanitaire.

Par manque d’expertise médicale et équipements ultra-modernes, la plupart de la classe moyenne plus aisée peut s’offrir un recours à la médecine étrangère dans des cas de malaises très critiques, tandis que, les patients moins privilégiés n’ont pour alternative que les quelques grands hôpitaux de la capitale N’Djamena, qui offrent globalement un service limité, mais aussi lent. Même aux urgences, il faut souvent patienter longtemps pour être servi, et se contenter de ce que disposent l’expertise médicale et les pharmacies locales.

Vendredi 11 octobre, les participants ont été formés sur le diabète aux urgences, les douleurs aux urgences ; les deux thèmes accompagnés de travaux pratiques en fin de journée, indique un communiqué des organisateurs.

La formation qui devrait prendre fin le 15 octobre, est pour d’aucuns, une réponse du gouvernement à la descente inopinée du Chef de l’État dans quelques hôpitaux de la capitale où il a personnellement constaté le calvaire des patients et conditions déplorables des services des urgences, au début de l’été.

Hôpital de la Renaissance

Pour le gouvernement tchadien, « l’Hôpital de la Renaissance a été créé dans l’objectif d’offrir une alternative crédible aux évacuations sanitaires très coûteuses pour le Tchad. » 
Il a pour objectif « de prendre en charge, en tant qu’établissement de recours, les pathologies et les séjours les plus complexes ainsi que les interventions les plus délicates » selon le ministère de la Santé publique.
