Au Tchad, deux responsables rebelles du CCMSR condamnés à la prison à vie

Deux responsables du mouvement politico-militaire, Conseil de commandement militaire pour le salut de la République (CCMSR), ont été condamnés à la prison à vie suite à un procès qui a eu lieu ce jeudi dans la capitale tchadienne, N’Djamena.

Il s’agit du président dudit mouvement, Hassan Boulmaye, et son Porte-parole, Ahmat Yacoub Adam, tous deux arrêtés il y a deux ans au Niger et discrètement extradés vers le Tchad, illégalement selon leur avocats.

Jeudi, le procureur avait requis à ce que cette peine soit appliquée intégralement, cela malgré une amnistie du chef de l’État, Idriss Deby Itno, accordée aux citoyens révoltés contre la République.

Le 11 août dernier, le régime qualifiait d’acte terroriste, l’attaque menée par le CCMSR dans le Nord du Tchad. 

Bien que la peine de mort ait été abolie au Tchad, depuis l’engagement du pays dans la lutte amati-terroriste, les autorités ont fait exception pour cette peine.

Mais avocats et beaucoup d’observateurs ont appelés le gouvernement à l’application de l’amnistie prononcée par Idriss Deby Itno, l’an dernier, à l’occasion de la promulgation de la nouvelle constitution du Tchad.

Les deux responsables rebelles ont reconnus avoir engagé un mouvement pour « apporter un changement démocratique au Tchad. »
