À l’occasion de la journée mondiale de lutte contre le sida ce 1er décembre, la première dame de la République du Tchad, par ailleurs Ambassadrice spéciale de L’ONUSIDA, présidente pays de l’OPDAD et présidente fondatrice de la Fondation Grand Coeur, s’est adressée à la population tchadienne. Voici la teneur de son message.

« Population tchadienne, le sida n’est plus une fatalité. Faites-vous dépister pour connaître votre statut sérologique et bénéficiez d’une prise en charge rapide. Le sida n’est pas une maladie honteuse. Mobilisons-nous contre la stigmatisation et la discrimination de nos frères et sœurs qui vivent avec la maladie. En prenant régulièrement ses ARV, et en faisant le contrôle périodique de sa charge virale, on peut vivre normalement avec le VIH. Les analyses, de la charge virale sont gratuites et disponibles à N’Djamena, et dans la plupart des chef-lieux de nos provinces. Personne vivant avec le VIH, faites le contrôle régulier de votre charge virale, pour vous assurer que votre traitement marche bien, et que le virus ne se multiplie pas dans votre organisme. Mobilisons-nous pour que nos enfants naissent sans VIH. Mobilisons-nous pour éliminer le VIH d’ici à 20-30″
