Huawei fait son entrée officielle dans le marché tchadien

La multinationale chinoise a effectué son premier pas dans le marché tchadien ce 26 juin lors du forum consacré à la promotion des investissements, baptisé “Tchad-Monde Arabe”.

La multinationale des télécommunications, les gouvernements du chinois et tchadien, apprend-on, ont signé un accord tripartite de financement dans l’optique de redynamiser le secteur des technologies de l’information et de la communication (TIC) au Tchad.

L’accord porte principalement sur la modernisation des infrastructures TIC du pays.

Secteur longtemps sous-développé, le gouvernement tchadien, à travers les sociétés étatiques de télécommunications, peine à concurrencer les opérateurs de la téléphonie et Internet, notamment Airtel et Tigo (racheter il y a de cela quelques mois par Maroc Telecom). Tous deux des entreprises étrangères qui dominent quasiment le marché tout entier. 

Le nouvel accord tripartite devrait donc permettre à l’État tchadien de se repositionner dans la bataille des nouvelles technologies au moment où les coûts de communication au Tchad figurent parmi les plus exorbitants au monde, pour un service pas trop satisfaisant d’après la majorité de la clientèle tchadienne qui revendique davantage une qualité meilleure et un accès permanent au monde virtuel.
