Le Tchad se débarrasse graduellement du Covid-19

Réception de doses du vaccin Sinopharm, par le ministère tchadien de la Santé publique.

Il n’y a plus que 2 patients sous traitement, et 0 cas de nouvelles contaminations ce mercredi 16 juin, ont annoncé les autorités sanitaires du Tchad.

Depuis la première contamination au virus corona, introduite dans le pays par un voyageur marocain de retour d’un séjour au Cameroun le 19 mars 2020, le Tchad a déploré 174 morts sur un total de 4 943 personnes atteintes.

La chute libre de la pandémie serait due aux efforts de sensibilisation et prise en charge médicale.

Le 3 juin dernier, l’état tchadien a bénéficié d’un don de 200 000 doses du vaccin Sinopharm, expédié depuis la Chine populaire.

Les campagnes de vaccination sur sept sites de par le pays ont aussitôt été lancés le lendemain, visant les personnes âgées d’au moins 65 ans, le corps médical et candidats au pèlerinage en Arabie Saoudite.

Toutefois, la Coordination nationale de riposte sanitaire (CNRS) exhorte toutefois la population à “rester sereine, solidaire, vigilante” et “rappelle au respect strict des mesures barrières” notamment :

– La distanciation physique d’au moins un mètre
– Le port de masque
– Le lavage fréquent des mains à l’eau est au savon et éviter de se serrer les mains lors des salutations
