Tchad : le PCMT en Égypte pour “de nouvelles perspectives de partenariat”

Renforcement de liens diplomatiques entre le Tchad et l’Égypte à l’aube d’un dialogue national inclusif annoncé au Tchad pour le 15 février prochain, notamment suite au décès du président tchadien Idriss Deby Itno le 20 avril dernier.

Hier, Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, successeur au défunt président, Idriss Deby Itno (père), est arrivé au Caire pour s’entretenir avec son homologue égyptien Abdel-Fattah Al-Sissi. Une visite de travail qui devrait durer 48 heures.

Le Chef d’État tchadien est accompagné dans son déplacement par ses ministres des Affaires étrangères et celui de la Défense.

Alors qu’aucun agenda officiel a été communiqué par les deux parties, tout laisse à croire que cette visite a pour objectif de renforcement de liens sécuritaires et la consolidation de pouvoir par le Conseil militaire de transition (CMT) pour un dialogue fructueux.

Rappelons que la junte militaire au Tchad, qui s’est érigé au sommet de l’État a la suite de la mort d’Idriss Deby Itno, avait promis une passation démocratique et paisible de pouvoir dans 18 mois.

Au dialogue national inclusif, devront aussi prendre part les mouvements politicomilitaires, activistes et acteurs politiques et de la société civile. Ainsi, plusieurs consultations ont été effectuées à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur du pays par le comité d’organisation.
