Tchad : les jeunes exhortés à se présenter massivement aux élections législatives et municipales à venir

C’est un appel lancé par le président de l’Union Sacrée pour la République (USPR), François Djekombé, à l’égard de la jeunesse tchadienne.

« Les jeunes doivent partout se présenter comme candidats crédibles pour prendre le contrôle des mairies et les gérer en ayant ces trois choses dans la tête : l’éthique, la morale et l’excellence. » souligne le président-fondateur de l’USPR. Prendre le contrôle notamment pour changer la donne et apporter une bouffée d’oxygène à l’administration publique tchadienne.

Outre les municipalités, la jeunesse est aussi appelée à « prendre d’assaut » le pouvoir législatif dont le mandat expiré depuis 2015 a été unilatéralement prorogé par le Chef de l’État, Idriss Deby.

Pour François Djekombé, il est temps que la jeunesse s’impose sur la scène politique nationale et s’approprie son destin longtemps confisqué par une classe politique vieillissante qui refuse de céder la place à la nouvelle génération.

L’Union Sacrée pour la République – USPR est l’une des toutes récentes formations politiques à se constituer au Tchad, où depuis 28 ans, la scène politique est dominée par le Mouvement Patriotique du Salut (MPS).

En 2017, le MPS avait initié le passage à une Quatrième République dont la Constitution établit l’âge minimum pour la présidentielle à 45 ans et celui pour être chef de parti politique à 30 ans. Une exclusion systématique de la jeunesse selon plusieurs observateurs.

Repoussées à plusieurs reprises, les élections législatives et municipales ont été annoncées fin 2018 pour le mois de mai prochain.
