Une nouvelle ère de revendications se dessine au sein de la diaspora tchadienne et Paris ne semble pas être la seule ville à témoigner l’expression du mécontentement de la jeunesse tchadienne face au régime Deby aux commandes depuis près de trois décennies.

Ce vendredi 29 mars, quelques jeunes Tchadiens du Canada ont franchi les portes de l’ambassade du Tchad à Ottawa de manière « pacifique » et « honorifique ». Leur message, semblable à celui de leurs compatriotes de la France, avait pour but d’interpeller l’opinion internationale, et en particulier le Canada, sur la gestion médiocre du Tchad par un groupuscule de politiciens autoritaires, disent-ils.

Franchissant les portes de l’ambassade, les jeunes révoltés, épris d’un horizon nouvel de gouvernance ont tenu à prononcer en direct sur les réseaux sociaux un discours symbolique axé sur plusieurs sujets, « les dérives du régime dictatorial de Deby », le détournement chronique de fonds publics à travers des « systèmes mafieux », les violations graves des droits humains, la corruption, et le soutien militaire de l’armée française contre des groupes rebelles tchadiens, entre autres. 

L’ambassadeur du Tchad à Ottawa, M. Mahamat Ali Adoum, présent au moment de l’irruption n’est pas sortit de son bureau verrouillé. 

Se retirant des locaux de l’ambassade après leur intrusion et discours symbolique, les jeunes, ont brisé par un coup-de-poing le portrait du Chef de l’État tchadien, Idriss Deby Itno, érigé au dessus des drapeaux tchadien et canadien.
