Le public tchadien ne dissimule plus sa déception. D’après bon nombre d’observateurs, la compétition annuelle de beauté et de culture, dite « Miss Tchad » n’est pas à la hauteur d’un concours national à l’issue duquel la « plus belle » d’entre les candidates est mandatée pendant un an pour représenter la gent féminine tchadienne.
Indignées par la qualité médiocre de ladite prestation, des voix s’élèvent pour exiger le report, voire l’annulation pure et simple de ce spectacle qui ternit l’image du Tchad, disent-elles. Au lieu de rendre plus visible le Tchad sur la scène internationale ; valoriser la culture de ce pays enclavé, peu connu ; et promouvoir la culture de ce dernier, Miss Tchad est devenue plutôt un théâtre lors duquel s’expose au monde entier la médiocrité événementielle du Tchad.
Bien que cela fît plus d’une décennie que le concours Miss Tchad a été lancé officiellement, les organisateurs qui se sont succédés au fil du temps n’ont jamais su encadrer á sa juste valeur le concours Miss Tchad. Ainsi donc, jugent certains observateurs qu’il serait mieux, soit, d’y mettre un terme, ou de démolir carrément ledit concours afin de concevoir un nouveau modèle digne de l’envergure d’un rassemblement national à caractère international.
L’événement dont il faut rappeler est censé promouvoir non pas seulement la beauté féminine, mais aussi la diversité culturelle du Tchad, et des projets de société porteurs, est devenu plutôt un divertissement digne d’un spectacle d’Halloween. Sont exposées au monde entier, des candidates qui ne savent ni défiler, ni s’exprimer devant un grand public, et ne maîtrisent non plus les règles d’un concours si noble. Nombreuses sont les candidates passables qui ont fini par envahir le podium au détriment d’une image crédible du Tchad. Pauvres candidates ! Les défaillances sont aussi d’autre part dues notamment à l’amateurisme des organisateurs et sponsors, qui visiblement s’en moquent de cet événement…
Comment comprendre que pour un concours national, l’on attend la dernière heure pour se précipiter et recueillir n’importe quelle candidature, et surtout imposer des soi-disant « innovations » telles qu’une candidature en ligne, sachant bien que ce pays le Tchad ne dispose pas de moyens de communication, ni de qualité ni fiable. Comment comprendre que des sponsors ne se soucient pas de l’association de leurs marques avec un concours dit national mais ne sert plutôt à un podium pour amateurs et la médiocrité ?
Certes, dit-on, la beauté réside dans le regard du spectateur. À chacun donc son appréciation de la beauté. Mais lorsqu’il s’agit d’un si important concours, de surcroît national, pour la représentation de la gent féminine d’un pays aussi grand, il faut donc respecter scrupuleusement l’image typique de la femme tchadienne. Et surtout, ces pratiques qui consistent à vouloir ressembler à un avatar occidental en utilisant des faux cheveux et en s’éclaircissant le visage pour soi-disant paraître plus belle, doivent prendre fin ! Tolérer ces pratiques, c’est insulter la beauté naturelle de la femme tchadienne, et faire la promotion d’un complexe identitaire quelconque.
Si l’élection Miss Tchad se veut être un concours véritablement national ; si elle se veut être une plateforme par le biais de laquelle le Tchad peut concurrencer sur le plan mondial et se faire respecter, il va falloir donc :
– Se mettre au travail et développer un programme au moins six mois précédent ledit concours et non attendre la veille ;
– Il faut mieux entraîner et encadrer professionnellement les candidates et surtout encourager les jeunes filles tchadiennes à se présenter à cette élection au lieu de paniquer et ramasser n’importe qui pour remplir simplement des représentations provinciales ;
– Il faut améliorer la qualité des prestations, soigner les images des candidates sans toutefois les rendre artificielles ;
– Il faut (re)définir les objectifs de Miss Tchad quant à la mission de ce concours, les attentes, et les soutiens requis, tout cela dans la transparence totale ;
– Il faut permettre aussi au public tchadien de participer pleinement à cette élection à travers des votes citoyennes
– Il faut aussi accompagner intégralement les gagnantes dudit concours en mettant à leur disposition les moyens nécessaires afin qu’elles puissent réaliser leurs projets de société pour le bénéfice de la population tchadienne.
Je partage ainsi mon opinion sur ce concours, en ma qualité de citoyen tchadien, et qui est donc concerné par cet événement étant donné qu’il porte le nom de mon pays, mais aussi du fait que je suis actif dans la mode et l’événementiel. Je juge donc mon opinion utile.
