Les services d’urgences de cinq principaux hôpitaux de N’Djamena centralisés

Cinq directeurs généraux des principaux hôpitaux de N’Djamena ont été convoqués mercredi par le ministre de la Santé publique. Face au responsable de ce département ministériel, Aziz Mahamat Saleh, les cinq directeurs généraux ont été instruits de « redorer le blason des services d’urgences. »

Il y a de cela quelques jours, le ministre est descendu lui-même dans les hôpitaux Mère et Enfant, Amitié Tchad-Chine, la Renaissance, l’Hôpital général de Référence national, et le Complexe universitaire Le Bon Samaritain. 

La visite inopinée a permis au ministre de faire des constats critiques au niveau des services d’urgences selon l’Attaché de Presse du ministère. Cette réunion, qui en suit, consiste donc à donner des instructions et d’orientations « pour la bonne fonctionnalité » d’un service centralisé.

Désormais, ces hôpitaux devraient gérer collectivement une unité centrale des urgences financée par le gouvernement. En outre, trois ambulances médicalisées et moyens de communication modernes sont mis à la disposition du nouveau service. Les services d’urgences de chacun des hôpitaux bénéficient d’un renfort en personnel urgentiste et formation.

Quant aux patients, un fonds mis à la disposition des hôpitaux par le ministère devrait garantir leur prise en charge et transfert dans différents centres selon le cas d’urgence et proximité.
