Tchad : au moins 2 morts lors de manifestations contre la transition militaire

Deux personnes ont été tuées ce mardi lors de manifestations pacifiques contre la prise du pouvoir par un fils du président Deby à la tête d’un conseil militaire de transition, suite au décès tragique de l’ancien Chef d’État la semaine dernière.

Dans la capitale N’Djamena, des manifestants ont très tôt le matin investi les rues, réclamant la dissolution pure et simple du CMT au profit d’une transition civile. Ils exigent le retour à l’ordre constitutionnel et un dialogue inclusif pour une sortie apaisée de la crise que traverse le pays.

Des tirs à balles réelles

Plusieurs photos qui circulent sur les réseaux sociaux confirment les rumeurs de ripostes disproportionnées contre les manifestants, à l’aide de gaz lacrymogène et armes à feu. À N’Djamena, au moins une personne est morte à la suite de blessures infligées par balles réelles. Une autre personne a aussi succombé suite à des blessures, dans la ville de Moundou, au sud du pays où les manifestations ont également pris de l’ampleur.

Hier, le Conseil militaire de transition (CMT) a exprimé un non-catégorique à la main tendue des rebelles du Front pour l’alternance et la concorde au Tchad (Fact), à l’origine de la mort du d’Idriss Deby.

Le ministre tchadien de la Sécurité publique a par ailleurs interdit toute manifestations susceptible de créer des troubles à l’ordre public.
