Après la Banque mondiale, la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) a renoué ses relations économiques avec le Conseil militaire de transition (CMT) au départ jugé anticonstitutionnel.
Apprend-on, le président du CMT, Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, a rencontré hier dans la capitale tchadienne, l’envoyé du président de la BAD, N’Guessan Serge Marie, par ailleurs directeur général du bureau régional de ladite institution pour l’Afrique centrale.
Selon la présidence de la République du Tchad, ce déplacement a pour but de transmettre “un message de total soutien du groupe de la BAD et des actions en mode d’urgence à la transition en cours.”
La Banque mondiale qui avait suspendu ses opérations au Tchad à la suite de l’annonce d’une transition anticonstitutionnelle dirigé par le CMT le jour même de la mort du président Idriss Deby Itno, a récemment scellé son retour dans l’économie tchadienne.
Le 25 juin dernier, apprend-on que “la direction de la Banque mondiale a approuvé la reprise de la coopération avec le gouvernement de transition du Tchad.”
