Tchad : une marche contre la vie chère et pénurie de gaz butane interdite

La vie chère et pénurie de gaz butane suscitent un appel à une revendication populaire, mais à quelques jours de la contestation, les autorités l’ont interdite et arrêté les organisateurs.

« Une marche pacifique en guise de mécontentement pour exiger [des] dirigeants le droit à l’alimentation » c’est la mission d’une mobilisation citoyenne prévue pour jeudi 25 avril au Tchad.

Le Collectif tchadien contre la vie chère appelle les Tchadiens « à sortir massivement » afin d’interpeller le gouvernement sur son silence incompris depuis trois mois, alors qu’une pénurie de gaz butane frappe de plein fouet les ménages.

Le gaz butane, officiellement, la seule source d’énergie pour la cuisson est presque introuvable dans la capitale tchadienne où quelque deux millions d’habitants se bousculent au quotidien à la recherche des rares bouteilles de gaz sur le marché, à prix exhorbitant. Certaines familles, moins privilégiées font depuis lors recours à des moyens peu orthodoxes. Les bouses de bœufs et feuilles de plantes sont devenues les nouvelles alternatives pour source d’énergie pour la cuisson.

Interdiction de manifester

Le régime Deby qui a habituellement interdit toute contestation et mobilisation de l’opposition politique depuis 2015, évoquant un contexte sécuritaire sous régional dégradant, a interdit hier ladite revendication par la voix du ministre de l’Administration du territoire, de la sécurité publique et de la gouvernance locale, Mahamat Abali Salah.

Mais sur les réseaux sociaux, l’appel à la mobilisation prend toujours de l’ampleur. Des artistes et leaders de la société civile défient les autorités en exhortant la population à descendre jeudi dans la rue.
