Conférence de presse du ministère tchadien de la Jeunesse et des Sports pour le lancement officiel du prix « Maréchal Awards ».

TCHAD : lancement officiel d’un prix dédié à la promotion de la jeunesse 

Un prix dénommé “Maréchal Awards” vient de voir le jour hier à N’Djamena. Il s’agit d’une initiative du ministère de la Jeunesse et des Sports. Objectif : promouvoir 7 catégories de talents, à savoir : le sport, l’entrepreneuriat, l’engagement civique, l’innovation sociale, musique, danse et talent féminin. La compétition est ouverte à tous les Tchadiens, hommes et femmes, âgés de 15 à 35 ans. 

Covid-19 : la lutte contre la pandémie se poursuit 

Selon les autorités tchadienne, le bilan quotidien de la pandémie de coronavirus  en la date du 22 février s’établit comme suit : 19 nouveaux cas de contamination, 1 décès et 21 patients guéris. Par ailleurs, 397 malades sont encore sous traitement sur l’ensemble du territoire nationale.

RD CONGO : l’Italie dénonce une “attaque lâche” qui a entraîné à la mort de son ambassadeur, Luca Attanasio

La mort hier par balles de l’ambassadeur italien au Congo, Luca Attanasio, continue de créer des vagues d’indignations et de dénonciations dans son pays d’origine. Le président italien n’a pas tardé à qualifier l’assassinat de son représentant diplomatique d’une “attaque lâche”. Une unité de l’armée italienne est attendue ce mardi au Congo pour des enquêtes sur la mort de l’ambassadeur. Le gouvernement congolais de son côté a attribué cette attaque à un groupe de rebelles rwandais, tandis que ladite rébellion rejette ces accusations et indexe à son tour les armées congolaise et rwandaise.

BURKINA FASO : le CONFEJES tient sa 38e session à Ouagadougou pour le renouvellement de son Secrétariat général

Il se tient dans la capitale burkinabé ce 23 février la 38e session de la Conférence des ministres de la jeunesse et des sports de la Francophonie (CONFEJES), une organisation internationale créée en 1969 qui regroupe une quarantaine de pays au service de la promotion de la jeunesse francophone de par le monde. En marge de cette rencontre, les membres de ladite organisation devraient renouveler le secrétariat général. C’est ainsi que le Tchad présente face au Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritanie, Benin, Cameroun et Madagascar, son candidat, notamment pour le poste de Secrétaire général. La conférence prendra fin le 27 février.

ÉTATS-UNIS : plus de 500.000 morts dus au Covid-19

Les États-Unis, pays le plus frappé par la pandémie du Covid-19 vient de franchir la barre de 500.000 morts, hier 22 février. « 500 071 morts. C’est plus d’Américains morts durant cette année de pandémie que durant la Première Guerre mondiale, la Seconde Guerre mondiale et la guerre du Viêtnam combinées. Rendons hommage à chaque personne. » a déclaré le président américain Joe Biden dans un discours depuis la Maison Blanche. Plus de 60.000 patients atteints du virus sont sous traitement alors que la campagne nationale de vaccination a déjà fourni au moins une dose à une quarantaine de personnes sur l’ensemble du territoire américain.
