Covid-19 : bientôt des vaccins contre le virus au Tchad

Ce mercredi 18 novembre 2020, le ministre de la santé publique et de la solidarité nationale, Dr Abdoulaye Sabre Fadoul était devant la représentation nationale au palais de la démocratie de Gassi pour faire le point sur la situation de la Covid-19 au Tchad. De nombreuses questions ont à cet effet été posés par les députés. Dans ses éléments de réponse, le ministre de la santé publique a expliqué aux élus du peuple que le pays compte depuis le 19 mars 2020 dernier 1608 cas de contamination, qui sont répartis dans 17 provinces. 1154 cas sont guéris à ce jour. « Le total des décès s’élève à 101 cas dont un nombre important de décès post-mortem ».

Le ministre a ému la plénière en annonçant la venue prochaine d’un vaccin contre le Coronavirus au Tchad. « D’ici l’été 2021, les vaccins seront disponibles et nous travaillons bien entendu avec la coordination pour que nous disposions de notre propre stratégie de vaccination le jour où ces vaccins seront disponibles ».

Les mesures d’accompagnement aux victimes d’inondation et des personnes vulnérables, la situation du paludisme et l’intensification de la sensibilisation sur Coronavirus ont également été évoqués au cours de la séance plénière.
