Au Tchad, le Directeur général de la gendarmerie nationale, nommé le 3 janvier 2020, a été suspendu par son ministre de tutelle pour “insubordination” le 8 janvier dernier.
Selon plusieurs sources, le général de division, Djontan Hoïnati Marcel, a payé momentanément les frais d’une conspiration de ses frères d’armes pour avoir refusé de céder aux exigences d’un recrutement népotiste de 3.000 élèves gendarmes, proches de hauts officiers du régime.
Il a été donc suspendu par le Ministre délégué à la Présidence du Conseil, chargé de la Défense nationale, des Anciens combattants et des Victimes de guerre, le général Daoud Yaya Brahim, qui aurait été influencé dans sa décision précédente de suspension par des lobbies politico-militaires du pouvoir.
Ce mardi 11 janvier, Djontan Hoïnati Marcel, a été curieusement et discrètement rétabli dans ses fonctions sur décision du Président du Conseil militaire de transition (CMT), le général Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, successeur à son père Idriss Deby Itno tué le 20 avril dernier alors qu’il est allé à la rencontre de mouvements rebelles tchadiens venus de la Libye, à quelque 300 kilomètres de la capitale N’Djamena.
