Tchad : le Chef de l’État accorde 50 millions de FCFA aux artistes.

BRÈVE | Pour les acteurs du secteur culturel tchadien, c’est une excellente nouvelle qui tombe à point nommé. Le ministre de la culture, Patalet Géo a annoncé le 27 novembre dernier lors de la journée porte ouverte organisée par la CONAT (Coordination des Artistes Tchadiens) à l’espace culturel Talino Manu, l’octroi d’une enveloppe de 50.000.000 de FCFA aux artistes (musiciens, peintres, cinéastes etc.). Ceci dans le but d’aider ces derniers à améliorer leur résilience économique car la Covid-19 a profondément touché le secteur culturel. Un comité composé des cadres du ministère de la culture, de la CONAT, de l’UNOCAT et du BUTDRA sera mis en place pour définir les critères et conditions d’éligibilité à ce fonds. Il faut le rappeler, c’est une aide du président de la République. « Le Maréchal Idriss Deby Itno, soucieux de la dure période que traverse les artistes, a accordé une modeste enveloppe de 50 millions de FCFA sur le fonds Covid », a expliqué Patalet Géo.

Par la même occasion, le ministre de la culture a annoncé deux projets de loi portant respectivement sur le statut des artistes tchadiens et la création d’un fonds d’appui aux artistes. Les deux projets de loi seront bientôt examinés en conseil des ministres et envoyés au parlement pour adoption.
