Donald Trump dirige la première puissance mondiale. Il est le Chef d’État le plus influent de la planète, et à cet effet, l’un des présidents les mieux rémunérés. En tout cas, légalement. En échange de son service patriotique pour la nation, il touche 400,000 dollars américains annuellement, soit 230 millions de francs CFA environ. Bien évidemment, cela, outre, des fonds supplémentaires alloués pour différentes indemnités présidentielles.

Mais son salaire de base, le président américain ne le perçoit personnellement, même si la loi est claire sur le fait que son rôle soit obligatoirement rémunéré. Depuis son investiture le 20 janvier 2017, il a remis donc la totalité de son salaire au profit de différentes agences gouvernementales. En effet, cette charité généreuse était l’une de ses promesses électorales.

Le 18 mars, sur les réseaux sociaux, le Chef d’État américain qui a fait sa fortune personnelle, évaluée à quelque 10 milliards, dans l’immobilier, avait annoncé un transfert de plus de 100,000 dollars de son salaire présidentiel au profit du ministère de la Sécurité intérieure.

À la fin de cette troisième année de présidence, 1,2 millions de dollars seront ainsi le montant total fait en don.

En 2021, à la fin de son premier mandat de quatre années à la Maison Blanche, il aura remis 1,6 millions de dollars.
