Tchad : l’Éducation sexuelle au centre d’un atelier de consultation nationale.

Un atelier de consultation nationale sur l’éducation complète à la sexualité a été lancé ce matin 08 décembre au CEFOD. C’est initiative du ministère de l’éducation nationale et de la promotion civique, en collaboration avec l’UNFPA et l’UNESCO. Plusieurs participants ont répondu présents à la rencontre. C’est le Directeur Général du département de l’éducation qui a donné le coup d’envoi des travaux.

À travers l’organisation de cet atelier de consultation nationale sur l’éducation complète à la sexualité, le gouvernement tchadien réalise l’une des recommandations des Conférences de Dakar en 2015, et d’Abidjan en 2018 qui ont réunis 22 ministres de l’Afrique de l’ouest et du Centre, en charge de la santé, de l’éducation et de la jeunesse pour se pencher sur la problématique de l’éducation complète à la sexualité, et la santé des adolescents et des jeunes. Selon le Directeur Général du ministère de l’éducation nationale, Mahamat Seïd Farah, plusieurs objectifs sont visés au travers de cette rencontre de consultation : les recommandations permettront aux jeunes de mieux se prévenir des grossesses et mariages précoces, des maladies sexuellement transmissibles et plusieurs autres risques liés à la sexualité.

Même son de cloche pour le représentant de l’UNFPA, Dr Roger Laly, qui a rappelé la portée combien importante de cet atelier. Pour lui, c’est le lieu de lever toute évoque sur le concept : éducation complète à la sexualité.

Au sortir de cet atelier de consultation nationale, les parties prenantes seront à même de porter des recommandations aux plus hautes autorités du Tchad, et de dresser une feuille de route devant permettre l’édification effective, des jeunes et des adolescents sur les tenants et aboutissants de la sexualité.
